“Our stay at the Cleftstone was wonderful. This inn made us feel like we stepped back in time when we arrived. The architecture was so cute inside and out. The staff was very kind and accommodating- though we didn’t take full advantage of that or the amenities because we were mostly gone out exploring in Bar Harbor. The only complaint we have was the WiFi is spotty at best in room 3. I know we were in Maine to escape the normal day to day and our phones but the WiFi didn’t even support the smart……

“This is our go to spot for our annual Bar Harbor trip for about 8 years now. It’s a toss up between the main building (more expensive but lovely rooms and very nice breakfast) and the motel (more Spartan and no breakfast but less expensive and still comfortable) every year, but we are happy with either - just depends on availability and my wallet. Easy walk to a coffee and breakfast spot (Choco-latte but get there super early or place an order ahead as the line gets long) and the village……
